Tropicana City Mall

Tropicana City Mall is another shopping centre on KL’s fluid and ever-burgeoning retail scene.Located 30 minutes from the city centre, it is a four-storey complex with a variety of retail stores,restaurants and entertainment outlets including an eight-screen movie theatre, Golden ScreenCinemas. The mall houses mostly local clothing boutiques but also has an array of familiarbrands, such as Bossini, Espirit, Adidas, The Body Shop, Crocs, Bata and more.

Tropicana City Mall’s anchor tenant is Carrefour: located in the lower ground floor, this is wherethe nearby residents of the Pelangi apartments get their weekly groceries. Also on this floor is aPetsmore outlet. Meanwhile, visitors looking for a pharmacy can head to the ground floor wherethere is a Watsons and Guardian pharmacy. On this floor you will find a variety of food outletssuch as Pastry Culture, San Francisco Steakhouse, Kenny Rogers Roasters and more.

Even on weekdays Tropicana City Mall is packed with people; lunchtime sees it at its busiest as the complex serves as a mid-afternoon food and entertainment stop for the residents of the adjacent office building and apartment blocks. Fast food is represented by familiar names such as Nandos, Papa Johns, Subways and Starbucks. However it is the restaurants specialising in local favourites that seem to really draw in the crowds.

The first floor is where you will find clothing and shoe boutiques (Bata, Crocs etc.), home furnishing stores, an arts and crafts outlet (Storybook), and electronics shops; there is even a Borders bookstore here. Besides that, there are two hairstylists, the popular Monsoon Id and Top Passion, plus a massage parlour, spa chain Thai Odyssey. The second floor houses the eight-screen Golden Screen Cinemas at one end and kids superstore, Toys R’ Us at the other end. Beside the toy outlet is Gymboree, an edutainment centre for kids; also on this floor is a gaming arcade, Cobay (beside GSC). Makeup retailer Sasa is set opposite the movie theatre.
