KL Tower International Jump

The prestigious and internationally-acclaimed extreme sports event, KL TOWER INTERNATIONAL JUMP MALAYSIA (KLTIJM), was the most awaited event of the year, The adrenaline pumping actions took the center stage starting from 8.30 am until 6.00 pm (day jump) and 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm (night jump) at the KL Tower Sky Deck, which is located at the height of 300 meters above ground level.

This sporting event was initially organized in conjunction with KL Tower’s 3rd anniversary celebration on the 3rd October 1999. Since then, it has become an annual event for KL Tower and has been listed in the Malaysia Book of Records as the 1st BASE jump event in Malaysia, highest BASE jump platform, first rope BASE jump and most number of participants in a BASE jump. Previously known as BASE Jump, BASE is the acronym for (B)uilding, (A)ntenna, (S)pan and (E)arth, representing objects, which are mainly used as the BASE jump jump-off point.

There were about 125 experienced jumpers from 22 countries such as from USA, Canada, Austria, Czech, Ireland, England, Holland, France, Australia, Estonia, Mexico, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, Brazil, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Japan and Malaysia.

Our approached was 'COME & EXPERIENCE SITTING ON THE EDGE!’. Towards making the event more remarkable and full of excitement, KL Tower has offered a special package of ‘Sitting On The Edge' for visitors to see and up close the jumpers in actions at the jump point either day or night time. This was the only time of the year when visitors are allowed to sit on the edge of the open deck (Sky Deck), the moments of the jumpers made the jump and experienced the adrenaline rush of standing on the top of the world.

Visitors had the opportunity to capture the memorable moments under their feet and enjoy the scenic view of the Kuala Lumpur city at the height of 300 meters above the ground level. This was the golden experience of the visitors to observe the actions live from the Sky Deck.
