Temporary service disruption due to Covid19.

In accordance with the Restriction Movement Order issued by the Malaysian Government on 16th March 2020, all foreign tourists and visitors are not allowed to enter Malaysia starting from March 18, 2020 until further notice.

Therefore, all visa facilities (VTR and VDR) of eNTRI, eVISA, VOA and Visa Malaysia (Stickers) to all foreign nationals are temporarily suspended with the decisions made effective March 18, 2020 until further notice. Any application for visa after the restriction date will only be processed pending on the government decision based on the current situation.

Kindly consider rescheduling your travel plan if your travel date is in between the restriction date.

Menara Alor Setar



Strategically located in the heart of Alor Setar, Menara Alor Setar was officially opened on 14th August 1997 by Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad. It has since become a popular tourist attraction for foreigners and local visitors. Recognised as Malaysia's 2nd tallest telecommunication tower respectively, Menara Alor Setar is undoubtedly the pride of Kedah.

Besides ensuring improved and smooth telecommunication and broadcast transmission, Menara Alor Setar offers amenities which include a souvenir shop, an amphitheatre located at the podium level, high-speed bubble elevators, outdoor observation deck at a height of 88 meters, 360° Alor Setar Revolving Restaurant at 94 metres above sea level and well-equipped seminar and meeting rooms at height of 100 metres.

Rising above 165.5 meters, the Menara Alor Setar's architectural design is unique and exclusive as it symbolizes Kedah's established reputation as the 'Rice Bowl of Malaysia'. The tower pillars clearly resemble the image of a bundle of paddies. The main column also known as 'tiang seri' in Malay and which support the tower structure and potrays the tenacity of Kedahans.
